Mindray’s Latest IVD Inventions Showcased at AACC 2015

2015-07-30
Mindray has showcased its latest in-vitro diagnostic inventions at AACC (American Association for Clinical Chemistry), the world's largest global laboratory medicine exposition, which kicked off at Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta on July 28, 2015. The annual event attracts on average 18,000 industry professionals and over 700 exhibitors from around the world.

One product that drew much attention at the expo was the H50 Automated HPLC Analyzer, a recent addition to Mindray’s IVD portfolio. The device uses the High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) method, a gold standard that helps detect glycosylated hemoglobin with high precision. Its ability to measure HbA1c, HbF, and other hemoglobin fragments enables clinicians to make accurate diagnoses and prescribe treatments.

"As a leading player in the IVD industry globally, Mindray provides a broad range of diagnostic solutions that are tailor-made for labs with different levels of sample volume, as the commitment we underline--'diagnostics for all', " said Ms. Huo Ziling, General Manager of the Cellular Analysis Business Unit at Mindray. "We are dedicated to helping labs around the world improve their diagnostic quality and efficiency.”

Another highlight was the BriCyte E6 Flow Cytometer, a high-performing tool for cellular analysis. Its affordability makes it a great choice for many low-budget labs. The BriCyte E6 has an advanced microfluid detector, which can accurately detect microfluid flow as minute as a mosquito bite, enabling users to count the exact number of cells in every sample without using extra beads, thus reducing running costs.

Other star products included the well-received BC-20s/30s Hematology Analyzer, the BC-5000/5150 Hematology Analyzer, and the CL-1000i Chemiluminescence Immunoassay System, which will be officially launched in October.

The iPad App interactive area provided visitors with a new way to experience and learn about the advanced CAL 8000 Cellular Automation Line. By tapping on the iPad’s screen, visitors could easily access all features and design details of the workstation. This app-based virtual display illustrated dynamically why the CAL 8000 is an outstanding tool for major labs. Also introduced via the mobile devices was the newly developed software called LabXpert, an automatic validation system for test results.

The AACC represents the culmination of academic advances in the field of in-vitro diagnostics. Mindray's participation in the event not only demonstrates its innovative capability, as seen in the wide range of new products on display, but also strengthens the company’s status within the industry.
